Brief
The exhibition entitled “Here be dragons 23“ took place at Terrarium, (LUCA School of Arts exhibition space) from 22 - 24 February 2023. The exhibit revealed the ongoing process of research and findings of the current Master Media & Information Design students, giving insight into the process work such as critical texts, drafts, sketches, personal thoughts, and iterations.
Approach
In collaboration with two other classmates, we developed the branding and identity for the Here Be Dragons exhibition. We were inspired by the dutch expression, "je (creative) ei kwijt kunnen," meaning to "lose your (creative) egg" which lead us to work on the theme of eggs. In addition, we referred to ancient cartography and black lettering as part of our research process which naturally gave your egg typography a gothic feel.
